Registration

Do I need to give you my contact information? |

Contact information is optional.
However, providing an e-mail address will allow us to
contact you regarding the software if that becomes necessary. All information is confidential
and will not be released to any third party. Please refer to our Privacy Statement. |

What is the License Number? |

After successful registration, a unique license number is generated. This number
identifies you to the PhishGuard network and is used to validate updates and
submissions. |

If I reinstall the software, how do I re-register? |

Please keep a copy of your registration information. If you need to
reregister you can then reenter your name and license information. |
Installation

Can I install TWO free versions of PhishGuard (such as PhishGuard for
Firefox AND PhishGuard for Internet Explorer? |

Installing a
second free version of PhishGuard will uninstall the first version.
If you need protection for more than one browser, you should purchase a license
for PhishGuard Pro. |

There appears to be a lot of network activity after running PhishGuard for
the first time. Why is that? |
| A: |
Immediately after installation, PhishGuard may download a new copy of the database of malicious websites.
Depending on the speed of your Internet connection this download can take a few minutes, and
accounts for the network activity. Normally, changes to the database are
downloaded continuously throughout the day and will result in minimal network activity. |
Blocking Malicious Sites

I submitted a malicious site, but it isn't being blocked. Why is that? |

Usually, that is an indication that our monitoring team has determined that
the submitted site was not a phishing or other scam site. |
